Football-Season-with-a-Serious-Kick

As Americans, we love our food. There’s no doubt about that. From hot dogs at the game, neighborhood potlucks, to the stylish restaurants found in every city. And, it’s completely evident in the number of food holidays we celebrate annually. September is National Chicken Month, and while that may sound a little dull at first, you can easily spice it up with a bottle of Mad Dog Hot Sauce.

Okay, we’re not suggesting that you simply buy one bottle. Chicken offers the perfect backdrop for tasting the brilliance found in every bottle (that’s why we slather it on wings at every bar and family restaurants from coast to coast). So, you’ll probably want to try a few different bottles, from Mad Dog Inferno to Mad Dog’s Pure Ghost Hot Sauce. After all, September can feel like a long month as the temperature starts to drop and the daylight begins to fade.

Spicing up September, erm, National Chicken Month with a bottle of Mad Dog is easy. You can celebrate it with these ideas:

Chicken and Bacon Pasta – melt a butter in a frying pan and add some chopped bacon. As it starts to crisp, add in some chopped green peppers and green onions with a healthy dose of Mad Dog. Toss in cooked shredded chicken and a spoonful of pasta sauce. Top off with a spoonful of sour cream. Serve over your favorite pasta.

Grilled Chicken Sandwiches – mix together a marinade of yogurt with a few drops of Mad Dog Hot Sauce or Mad Dog Silver Collector’s Edition. Pound a few chicken breasts flat and leave to marinade for at least 30 minutes in the mixture. Heat a frying pan (or the grill, if it’s still warm enough) and cook your Mad Dog marinated chicken for a few minutes on each side. Serve on a bun with a slather of mayonnaise and your favorite toppings.

Mad Dog Chicken Pizza – mix together a few drops of your favorite Mad Dog hot sauce with a jar of pizza sauce. Spoon this over frozen pizza slices (or your favorite fresh recipe). Sprinkle with mozzarella, topped with shredded chicken, chopped green onions and mushrooms. Bake at 375 degrees F until cheese is melted and beginning to brown.

Roast Chicken with Mad Dog Potatoes – roast a chicken according to your preferred recipe (or pick up a pre-cooked chicken from the supermarket to save some time). Bake one potato per person. When cooked, scoop out the flesh from each potato from its skin. Mix this together with butter, milk and salt as if you’re making mash. Then add in a single drop of Mad Dog’s 1 Million Scoville Pepper Extract. Carefully (wearing gloves for protection), scoop the potato mixture back into the skins. Serve with an array of sauces and creams.

Chicken Nachos – layer refried beans, cooked and shredded chicken, cheese sauce, and tomato sauce. Sprinkle with Mad Dog hot sauce and serve with nacho chips.

National Chicken Month ends on the 30th of September, so get in as many delicious Mad Dog dishes as you can. If you’re looking for more delicious ways to work Mad Dog into your meals, stay tuned, we’re constantly cooking up new ways to enjoy super hot sauces!
