Searing Store-Cupboard Spaghetti Sauce

Yeah, you can buy a jar of ready-made spaghetti sauce if you feel the need to visit the grocery store.

But even then, you'll need to add a heavy dose of your favorite Mad Dog super hot sauce to it before serving it up with plenty of pasta and cheese.

You could do that. But this is way better. The burn cuts deeper, the flavors are fuller, and everything seems to melt into a perfect blend. It’s that good.

But, the Naga Morich peppers are set to take your face off, so you had better watch yourself before heavy-handedly dropping in more than you can handle.

Don’t say you weren’t warned.

Serves: 6
You’ll need:
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 small onion, minced
1 bell pepper, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
½-1 teaspoon Mad Dog 357 Naga Morich Peppers, slivered
1 teaspoon each: dried oregano, dried basil, Italian seasoning, sugar
¼ teaspoon each: onion powder, salt, freshly ground black pepper
1 can (28 oz.) diced tomatoes
1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste

Preparation
Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion, pepper and garlic, along with the Mad Dog 357 Naga Morich Peppers, oregano, basil, Italian seasoning and onion powder. Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring regularly until the onions are soft. Stir in the tomatoes and tomato paste. Add the sugar, salt and pepper and stir to combine. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve over the pasta of your choice.
